I need information on grants for the purchase: Government is not in-house software or pitch for selling books?
I need information on federal, state and local grants to buy a house. Is there a government site that is not a sales pitch for either a book or software? I've followed hundreds of links only to each end of a "large amount". At this point, I would need a subsidy to provide the information you'd need to buy to know where to buy information and so on.
You can go to the Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) and http://www.cfda.gov http://www.grants.gov Grants.gov – these are two sites created by the federal government to ensure transparency and information on scholarships. Browse through the listings and see if you can find any grant that support a business for profit. Even if you buy books on "how to get grants" or list that supposedly has information on grants – all of them are mere repetition of what CFDA has, albeit packaged differently. Yet the information is the same – hardly any grants to start a business for profit.
